Sprint pushes software update for HTC Evo 3D
Sprint has fed good news for HTC Evo 3D owners via Twitter, don’t get much excited because it is not related to Ice cream Sandwich (unfortunately). The upgrade which will push the phone to software version 2.17.651.5, is regarded as the maintenance update which brings three important functions. First off it offers more security improvements, secondly a reduction in power consumption to extend the battery life and last of all an update to the phone’s Peep client.
You will be notified when the update will begin to roll out (from January 17) but yes it can take some time to reach your device. If you can’t wait then check for it manually and apply it now. Go to Settings > System updates > HTC software update > Check now and it should be there waiting for you.
